Do you own or manage a small business or commercial facility in the Main Line or Suburban Phila area? Is your site in need of painting, carpentry work, or similar repairs? Take a look at a project we worked on recently at the Life Time fitness facility on Swedesford Rd in Wayne, then consider calling Taylor Painting & Carpentry the next time you need help at your place of business!
For this project, the facility needed repairs and finish work in their gymnasium, pickle ball court, and stairwell. Business was to remain open during service, so that was paramount in our minds during every step along the way. It is vital to remain as unobtrusive as possible when working in a commercial facility during business hours.
We began by assembling a 3-tier scaffold, which had to be transported in pieces from the utility area, up the elevator and through an occupied gym. The club had removed some signs and other apparatus from the walls in the basketball court to convert one half to a pickle ball court. Removing the signs had damaged the carpet-like wall covering, and the 2-tone paint above the wall padding.
We protected the wall padding and floors with plastic and drop cloths. We then stripped the damaged wall covering and patched the damaged drywall behind the wall covering and on the painted sections. Repairs were sanded using a power sander with a hose attached to a HEPA vac to contain the sanding dust. We then sealed all repairs with drywall primer.
We installed new wallcovering and repainted the walls. We took everything apart and cleaned up our worksite, transporting everything back down through the gym to the utility area, in a manner meant to cause the least disruption to club members, and got rid of all trash and debris.
Because of our efficient work style and our respectful manner toward club staff and members, not to mention the quality of work we provide for all our clientele, we have done two projects at this facility, and are beginning work at their Fort Washington location as well. We understand the need of commercial clients requiring clean workers, quality craftsmanship, efficient yet thorough service, with respect for their time, facility, staff, and customers being prioritized. Disruption to daily business is a huge concern when working on commercial projects. We take that very seriously and do everything in our power to provide a high quality result with as little interference with daily business as possible.
